The class also provides qualified individuals that are retired military and law enforcement to satisfy the requirements needed to obtain a SC CWP.

We encourage you to sign up your friends, loved ones, and family members so that they may have exposure to the material as well.

SC CWP Course Description:

The SC CWP Legal Aspects Update Course is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of applicable South Carolina laws relating to concealed carry. It is appropriate for those who obtained their SC CWP prior to March 2014, retired military and law enforcement individuals pursuing a SC CWP, and anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of the current statutes regarding current South Carolina laws relating to concealed carry.

Students must achieve a passing score on the first part of a two-part standardized test issued by SLED and based upon class content (70% required score for each test part).

Upon successful completion of this course and fulfilment of all other applicable SLED requirements, a qualified retired military or law enforcement student may apply for a South Carolina Concealed Weapon Permit. Course time is approximately 2-3 hours. Additional details concerning the South Carolina CWP program are available on the SLED website.

During the class, if you have passed the requirements and plan to apply, we will fingerprint you and complete the application for you to submit to SLED to apply for your South Carolina Concealed Weapon Permit upon completion of all requirements.

Note: The completion of this course does not guarantee that SLED will issue a permit to the student. No live firearms are allowed or used during this course.
