Defensive Courses

Our defensive courses cover both non-firearm and advanced firearm defensive topics. 

 

Refuse To Be A Victim® Program - $35

 

This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught Experts agree that the single most important step toward ensuring your personal safety is making the decision to refuse to be a victim. That means that you must have an overall personal safety strategy in place before you need it.

 

Through a four-hour seminar (shorter presentations are available) called Refuse To Be A Victim®, you can learn the personal safety tips and techniques you need to avoid dangerous situations and avoid becoming a victim.

 

Hundreds of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials across the country have implemented Refuse To Be A Victim® into their crime prevention and community policing initiatives.

 

Intuitive Sighted Fire - $50

 

         Note: Range fees apply.

 

This course is based upon the instructor materials developed by Rob Pincus for the Association of Defensive Shooting Instructors (ADSI). The course explains the fundamental principles at work in regard to sighted fire that works well with anatomy, neurology and the physics of light, as well as the conditions during which defensive shooting occurs. The course is about 4 hours long and consists of class time for lecture and drills with dummy weapons as well as a live fire drill on the range.

 

 

Basic Defensive Pistol Concepts - $100

 

         Note: Range fees apply.

 

This course is geared for the person who has a concealed weapon permit and minimal experience. The course introduces some more advanced topics and provides resources on where to get more advanced learning and experience. The course is about 8 hours long and consists of some lecture, insctructional videos, and interactive classroom discussions as well as a live fire drill on the range.
